On a very windy 15th November, two delegations from partner universities of the Transform4Europe Alliance were welcomed to the Trieste campus by our Delegation led by Prof. Roberta Altin from the Department of Humanities.
We had the pleasure to host Prof. Julija Kiršienė, Vice-Rector for Research with Prof. Ineta Dabašinskienė, Vice-Rector for International Relations from Vytautas Magnus University (Kaunas, Lithuania), and Prof. Tomasz Pietrzykowski, Vice-Rector for Domestic and International Cooperation, accompanied by Prof. Małgorzata Myśliwiec, Transform4Europe Project Coordinator from University of Silesia (Katowice, Poland), for an official meeting with the Vice-Rector of the University of Trieste, Prof. Valter Sergo, in the “Cammarata” Meeting Room and with Trieste Project Management Board members.
Our guests were also welcomed in the Rector’s Offices, where they were particularly impressed by the art gallery.
Other brief and rather informal meetings were organised for our visitors, who exchanged ideas with Delegates of the Direction of the Department of Political Sciences, the Deputy Rector for Scientific Research and Research Doctorates, Prof. Alessandro Baraldi and Deputy Rector for Scientific Research in the SSH and development cooperation, Prof. Ilaria Micheli, as well as with Prof. Barbara Campisi and Prof. Donata Vianelli, Director of the Department of Economic, Business, Mathematical and Statistical Sciences.
Despite their short stay, the two delegations were taken on a brief tour of the city centre and shared a friendly aperitif, followed by a welcome dinner, which they enjoyed very much, joined by the Director of the Department of Humanities, Prof. Elisabetta Vezzosi.
