Transform4Europe universities’ academic staff, researchers, and PhD students are invited to attend an Open Lecture titled “Data Protection and Research” by Marten Juurik from the University of Tartu and the Estonian Research Council. The online lecture is scheduled for April 26, from 11:15 to 13:45 CET (MS TEAMS).
This lecture will cover the fundamentals of personal data protection regulations, emphasizing issues relevant to research. It will also provide guidance on integrating data protection principles into research design. The target audience includes researchers with minimal or no prior knowledge of data protection.
Marten Juurik, the lecturer, is a junior researcher in ethics at Tartu University. He is one of the authors of Tartu University’s “Guide for Data Protection in Research” and has years of experience teaching communication and information ethics, as well as data protection.
