Il progetto
The research area of the project is the study of neuro-images acquired during teaching actions and/or specific teaching strategies in real contexts and conditions.
The general objective of the research is to understand whether neuroscientific theories of the brain can be used in teaching practices.
The project will allow to verify the application of brain imaging technologies to study the brain activities and the inter-cephalic and peripheral connectivity of teachers and students.
To investigate the research questions, functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) instruments will be used, devices capable of recording the brain activity of single individuals and the mechanisms of neural coupling (e.g. teacher-students) during lessons. Furthermore, the lessons subjected to fNIRS analysis will be video-recorded and questionnaires will be collected from teachers/teachers on the "neuroteaching" approach.
The study is authorized by the Cantonal Ethics Committee (Project-ID 2022-01392 CE 4147).
