{"id":1987,"date":"2025-09-11T11:20:55","date_gmt":"2025-09-11T11:20:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.units.it\/transform4europe\/?p=1987"},"modified":"2025-09-11T11:20:55","modified_gmt":"2025-09-11T11:20:55","slug":"summer-school-science-how-to-write-and-talk-about-it","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.units.it\/transform4europe\/index.php\/2025\/09\/11\/summer-school-science-how-to-write-and-talk-about-it\/","title":{"rendered":"Summer school: Science, how to write and talk about it"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Department of Biodiversity at the University of Primorska (FAMNIT), in collaboration with international colleagues, is hosting the <strong>Summer school<\/strong> &#8220;Science, how to write and talk about it&#8221;, from <strong>13th to 27th  October<\/strong> 2025, in Izola, Slovenia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Summer School offers an <strong>advanced-level<\/strong> programme designed for master\u2019s and doctoral students, recent graduates, and early-career researchers in biology, nature conservation, and related disciplines. Highly motivated senior undergraduates are also welcome to apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications are open until <strong>15 September 2025<\/strong>. A motivation letter must be submitted with the application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the two-week programme, participants will learn about:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>preparing<\/strong> scientific articles, posters, and oral presentations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> <strong>designing<\/strong> tables and graphs for papers and posters<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> <strong>public speaking<\/strong> skills and conference presentations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>structuring<\/strong> and writing undergraduate, master\u2019s, and doctoral theses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lecturers:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Prof. Dr. Karl-Ludwig Schuchmann<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prof. Dr. Marinez Isaac Marques<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dr. Carolline Zatta Fieker<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>(Federal University of Mato Grosso, Brazil)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Coordinator<\/strong>: Asst.
