The\nUniversity of Trieste promotes transparency, participation and constructive\ndialogue with the general public, including via social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\nUniversity of Trieste social media accounts are used: <\/p>\n\n\n\n
– to\nprovide information on how the University works <\/p>\n\n\n\n
– to facilitate\naccess to services – to publicise the results of scientific research <\/p>\n\n\n\n
– to\npromote the dissemination of research and events in which the University is\ninvolved – to receive comments, feedback, questions, criticisms and suggestions<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– The accounts\ncan produce their own content which will be underthe Creative Commons CC BYND\n3.0 licence and can be freely reproduced providing the original source is\ncredited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– The\nUniversity may launch special social media campaign to receive feedback from\nsupporters and followers and create content together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– The\nUniversity of Trieste can exploit information and content gathered from users\nproviding permission is requested from the owner and copyright laws are\nrespected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– The\nUniversity may promote some content with sponsored posts\/tweets to rationalize\ncosts compared to other types of advertising. If they wish, users can\nblock this content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– The\nUniversity of Trieste may share content and messages with third parties if the\ncontent is considered to be of public interest and utility. Notwithstanding the\ncommitment of verify the correctness and reliability of this content, the\nadministration declines all responsibility for any erroneous or out-of-date\ninformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Comments\nand posts by users are the opinion of the respective individuals and not that\nof the University, which cannot be held responsible for the veracity of content\nposted on the channels by third parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Any\nadvertising content posted around content on the social network pages are\nmanaged autonomously by the social networks and not controlled by the\nUniversity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Everyone\nhas the right to intervene and express his\/her opinion. Comments to posts are\nimportant feedback to the institution and are encouraged. Individuals are\nresponsible for what they write and publish. There is no preventive moderation\nof University of Trieste accounts. However, posts or comments which violate the\nconditions expressed here will be removed. Insults, vulgarity or behaviour that\noffends personal dignity, the rights of minors and the principles of liberty\nand equality will not be tolerated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\nfollowing will be moderated and may be removed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– comments that are off-topic<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– comments\nor posts providing sensitive data<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– repeated posts<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– comments\nor posts written to disrupt the discussion or offend those who manage the\nchannel<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Where these\nconditions or the policy of the platform used are violated, the SMT reserves\nthe right to block the user\u2019s account, to report him\/her to those responsible\nfor the platform and, as necessary, to the police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\nfollowing specific action will be taken:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– the\npublication of content that discriminates by gender, ethnic origin, language,\nreligion, political opinion, sexual orientation, age, personal and social\nconditions will result in said content being eliminated. If the action is\nrepeated, the user will be blocked;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
the\npublication of insults or profanities, or of content that is indecorous or\nthreatening or incites illicit or violent behaviour, or offends the reputation\nof individuals or the image of the University or other institutions will result\nin said content being eliminated. If the action is repeated, the user will be\nblocked;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
the\npublication of political, commercial or advertising content that is misleading\nor violates the rights of third parties will result in said content being\neliminated;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
the\npublication of content in a language which administrators cannot fully\nunderstand will result in said content being eliminated;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
the publication\nof illicit or illegal content will result in said content being eliminated and\nthe user being blocked and reported to the police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Processing\nof users\u2019 personal data is in accordance with current legislation and policies\nin use on the respective platforms. The data shared by users through private\nmessages sent to channel managers will be treated in accordance with Italian\nprivacy laws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
